4th Quarter 2007 Trestleboard

sc-square.gifI wish to take this opportunity to thank all of the brethren who have so ably supported me during my tenure in the East.  You have made my time there very enjoyable and very successful.  I am sorry I am not to be able to thank each of you individually in this report but I am sure I would leave someone out and I do not wish to slight anyone through omission. Brothers and Sisters:

This will be my last report to you as Master.  Brother Penton will assume that role in December and I will continue to put the newsletter out, by his direction.

I wish to take this opportunity to thank all of the brethren who have so ably supported me during my tenure in the East.  You have made my time there very enjoyable and very successful.  I am sorry I am not to be able to thank each of you individually in this report but I am sure I would leave someone out and I do not wish to slight anyone through omission.

We had a great time at our August "picnic" dinner.  Hotdogs and potato salad was the fare of the evening.  Spaghetti was served in September to the delight of many.  Thirteen Brothers and Sisters ate spaghetti together.  That is the most we have had, even more than for our steak dinner in the spring.  Charlaine will bring back her Italian Potato Soup for the October meal.  November's dinner will have a Thanksgiving menu and December will be our choice of meats and you bring the side dishes.  (We plan on having Venison, Beaver, Raccoon and a mystery meat, in addition to tame animal meats.)

Don't forget to contact one mason who has not been to lodge in a while and invited him back.  Maybe all he needs is someone to drive him.  Offer him a ride.  Pick him up and bring him to the lodge.  Let's get our Masonic family TOGETHER.

We have a returning Entered Apprentice now working.  We will be practicing our skills yet again to ensure the work we do to support him will be the best Waddell can do.  Come on out and join us in this endeavor.

The O. B. Omohundro Area Masonic School of Ritual Instruction will be held at Waddell Lodge on Saturday, 13 October, beginning at 9:00 am.  Breakfast will be served at 7:30 for those of you wishing to eat with us.  Charlaine is making pancakes & sausage or over-easy eggs, sausage, and toast. There will also be hot coffee and donuts (compliments of Brother Greg Hosaflook of Day Lodge).  Please call or email me if you plan to eat with us before the school.

I continue to thank Garnett and Ron for the grass cutting and trimming they do every summer.  Our yard looks very neat and well groomed.

If you have not been to our new web site yet check out http://www.waddell228.org/ . Brother Kirby Robinson has done a great job on it and is to be commended.  If you would like to receive this newsletter electronically and save the Lodge a few cents postage please let us know on the link on this web site.

Again, thank you all for your support and assistance during my tenure in the East.

Edgar M. Crebbs
Worshipful Master
